Send link functionality provides the following features:

• Quickly and securely share large files or folders with anyone (e.g. share documents which are too large to share via email)
• Make content available in download-only mode
• Use our integrated email link functionality to send link or just copy/paste links into IM, email, and SMS clients
• Share files with users outside of your organization, who do not have ShareSync installed. (i.e. Recipients do not need to download/install the client as files are made available to them via the Web Interface)

• Single-link-per-file model

Note: Links never expire.

Send link functionality is available in:

Web Interface

Select file/folder in Web Interface and click the Send Link button:

You can password-protect a link before copying it and sending to someone. If link is password-protected, they will be asked to enter a password, before being able to view and download the content.

Windows client

To Share File/Folder as a link, select it in your Windows Explorer and click Send Link.

You will be redirected to the Web Interface where you can generate and send the link.

Mac client

To Share File/Folder as a link, select it in your Windows Explorer and click Send Link.

You will be redirected to the Web Interface where you can generate and send the link.

Mobile apps

Files can be shared in ShareSync Mobile apps via sending a link to a file to a person you would like to share it with. The person can be both from inside and from outside your organization. You can also protect the link with a password.

Outlook Plugin

1. When composing a message in Outlook, click ShareSync icon in the ribbon and choose Select Files.
2. Choose a file from your desktop.
3. ShareSync automatically uploads it to the server and outs a link to a file to the top of the message.
